Is "Insia" a variety of Brug?

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

I have a brug cutting that I've been growing since late 2002. It's starting to form buds (I think) and my id tag says "Insia". I don't know if I misread the hand writing or if it's a real name.

I'd love to find out and also try to remember who sent me this cutting :) I'm getting really exicted about it!!!

Insignis. but there are several, pink, rosea, gold just to name a couple. if it's a seedling from someone then it's unique and not one of those.

Looking good. Blooms on the way.

Sorry, it said "Pink" first. It was a cutting, so I don't think it's necessarily unique. If I'm narrowing this down correctly, I think this may be a "Pink Insignis". Thanks for the correct spelling, tiG!

Now, to find out who has these and sent me the cutting...

Thanks, lhughes ~ getting really anxious & excited but trying to contain it.

Chin & lower jaw just dropped... awesome!

Will they only bloom for a single night/day? I finally got some poppies to grow only to discover that they bloomed just ONE day! All that work and then, poof, that's it!

Maybe this one is from you then, tiG, cuz I think I remember sending postage for some of your cuttings. Thanks for posting the picture!!!! I'll get a snapshot (hopefully) and post it when I see a bloom :)

the blooms last from 3-5 days, depending on the heat and humidity. I did have Insignis Pink, and I did abbreviate on the tags:) sorry! LOL!! but it could have come from others. It will bloom in flushes, more flowers every time usually.

Oh, good! Then we can enjoy it for a little while then. I'm glad since I've put so much work into keeping these watered and pest free. I'll be having to find a place inside to keep them for the winter... Thanks for the information about more flowers, too. That'a a bonus!

It looks like yours is loaded with lots of fat buds ready to burst into full bloom. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures of your beautiful Brug, "Insignis Pink".
