Nice of the bugs to leave me one tendril!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

This is what I'm waking up to each morning. Last night I checked this plant several times, couldn't find any bugs.
I've resorted to a mantis relocation program. I have them ALL over my yard. They need to start earning their keep!
Anyone have a idea what could be doing this?

Here is what it should look like.

My mantis I relocated from another part of the yard. He better do some work tonight. I've been putting up with them eating all my butterflies. I better see some results SOON! On the plus side, they are keeping the 'cat' population in check.

What a rotten trick! At least they left the bloom there and didn't chew holes all through them. I hope you find out what it is.

Poor Kristi. I hope they do their job for you too.

Which bud is that, Kristi? Sure is pretty, long tendrils.

Gloria- It's the Maya sport and it's loaded with blooms!
I took this right before dark. It was starting to change colors!

Kristi, that Maya sport is so great and hardy looking, I would love to have a piece if you ever cut it for rooting.
