Creeping Thyme

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Where is a good source to get some of this? I need enough to cover about a 2' x 3' area :)

flowox, do you want to cover that area immediately, or let the thyme grow to cover it? I understand Mother of Thyme is better for a surface that gets walked upon. I have that, and a wooly thume that has finally grown to drape over the stones surrounding a raised bed. It has taken 4 years, though.

I got them at Home Depot, or maybe Lowe's... in 4" pots.

darius, I'll take it either way........LOL
I just found some seeds that I bought on Ebay but would love to find more, even some pieces of the plant itself. It would be in an area where it gets walked on. I want to put it on the side where the mailbox is out front as it is always an eye sore :(

flowox, I didn't mean to imply that I had some to share. Actually, it can be divided BUT I'm taking the divisions with me when I sell the house.

Small plants are easy to find in the spring, and not expensive... I don't know about now. However, I'd call the local nurseries and see if anyone has any left.

thanks Darius, will give that a try :)
