This letter to the editor appeared in Saturday's News Herald. It was written by Daniel Hirsh of Panama City.
Dr. Kim Breeze at the Animal Hospital of Panama City Beach has for the last several years taken the best care of my pet. She not only made the 15 1/2 years I had with my dog the most enjoyable and happiest years of my life, but when it came the time that we all dread, she made it the most comfortable for my pet as well as for me.
Three days after the loss of my longtime friend and companion,I received a letter from Breeze and wondered what it could possibly be. I am in general not an emotional person, but when I opened the letter,I don't think a stone statue could have held back the tears.
Besides the comforting thoughts in the handwritten note,Breeze enclosed a small band of my dog's hair as a reminder to me just how special she was. As I turned the page,I realized there was an additional card in this letter.
When I picked it up,it was at this point I could not contain myself. Only the most caring person would have even thought to take the time or even thought of the act of taking my pet's paw print and putting it on a card for me to save.
Dr. Breeze is not only one of Bay County's finest veterinarians but a real human being.
Needless to say when I read this the tears flowed. What a wonderful act of love and compassion!
The best in Bay veterinary
