Just wanted to say A big HELLO to you all.
I did just come in from planting a bunch of Duranta,Angelonia and some Lantana, starting to cloud up so maybe we will get some rain this afternoon.
Growing things is my very favorite pastime, I also work full time but my weekends and a few days off are spent outside working in the flower beds.
I look forward to lots of info from this wonderful sight and the nice people here.
Ya'll take care :)

Hello to all
Welcome Narc. I have no idea what you just planted (I'm a new gardener, I know petunias LOL). Enjoy the site. You'll meet plenty of people who are willing to share & are just plain fun! Merigold
WELCOME, welcome from one newbie to another!
A great big welcome form Oregon. It's nice to meet you.
Hey Narc, see you wandered over here!Another welcome!
Good Morning to you all!
How nice to have a welcome commitee :)
Marigold, all those plants I mentioned are very hardy here in my part of the state, I have not ever had the Agelonia, but at the nursery they said it can stand the heat and not much water, so I will see. You go with the petunias then graduate to something completly different, say impatiens, they like the shade. If I can help with any questions, I surely will.
We got a half an inch last night YIPEE!!!
It was nice to hear rain on the roof, and it cooled down a little too.
Thank you again for all the nice welcomes, I think I'm gonna like it here :) :)

Welcome Narc! Glad to have you with us :)
Yes Narc, I learn some of my lessons the hard way and could use some advice here and there. Speaking of impatients, I planted some last year and came home to wilted plants each day after work. Our house and most of our flower beds have east and west exposure..lotsa sun! I now read more carefully when buying. Hey, glad to hear you got a little rain, that pitter patter can sure be a nice sound on the roof. Again, welcome and see you around in the forums. Mari
Hello Narc - welcome, welcome, welcome and glad to meet another fellow Texan here at the garden! So glad you could join us.....(Ü)
Good Morning
Willow... I will get my rear in gear, I am amazed at all the topics on this sight, I wish I had time to read them all!
It seems the only thing I have in abundance right now is Wandering Jew, And I plan on cutting a whole mess of it up tomorrow. If any one wants any of this I will be happy to send it out for just the cost of mailing it.
I suppose I should start collecting seeds from the things I do have.
Meri...I know that feeling, There are certain plants that will not do well for me in pots, so I put them in the ground. Bouganvilla(sp), Hibiscus and Geraniums all do well in the ground for me. The Hibiscus and Bougan are planted on the south side of my home and froze down to nothing this past winter, and now they are lush and really doing well, I thought they were gone and to my surprise they made thru.
Terry...Thank you very much for your warm welcome :)
Moonlighting...Hello to you fellow Texan! I have been thru Needville one time back when I was a teenager, a guy I dated lived in Beaumont and his parents had a place in Jasper. Long time ago now!
I am a true Texan, born in Austin and raised right around this area. It's corny I know, but I just LOVE being a Texan!
Thanks again for the welcome. I need to find the right topic to ask a question or two about Crepe Myrtles.
Ya'll have a good day!!
