Hello flowox,
I also have a very tiny garden & don't see any caterpillars in it. That doesn't stop me however, as long as there are fields with weeds near by I'm there exploring the plants to see what eats them. It's really fun & Challenging, you should try it. All you need are a few ID books or the internet, and patience. Give it a try. Sal.

Seems like most are disappearing to new housing developments. I need to get more fresh air anyway, so might take a drive to Dawes Arboretum this weekend to see what's creeping around :)

Great phtos NCS. That's sure a pretty caterpillar. As far as roadsides and vacant lots...that's the same thing I do. I call them my wildflower walks. I find lots of photo ops this way

These are the same red Admiral cats from above. Look at how big they are getting. They grow so fast. The larger one in the pic is about ready to pupate. The little one is just starting to put on size. Hungry all the the time!
