Hey! How did you get more than 1 color on the same bush?
Just stunning!! I had one of these as an indoor plant one year at Easter. Planted it in the garden for a very short time as I'd heard you can. In a couple of months I decided I didn't like it there as it was nothing but green. I gave it to my neighbour who then planted it in her garden & by the following year, it had the most beautiful mauve blooms. If I coulda kicked myself I woulda!!! It's a scene-stealer in her garden!! Lesson learned......don't disgard those Hydrangeas you get for Easter or Mother's Day!!!! Prefers a moist, shady location, rich soil/loam/compost. The dried flower heads can be used for dried flower arrangements indoors or to decorate Xmas outdoor pot displays. Try a light coat of gold spray paint for a festive look at Xmas.
I'm guessing that the different colors on your plant are due to the various stages of maturity of each bloom??
Correct... just blooming at various stages... the purple ones seem to do that... the blue and pink ones all bloom the same color
absolutely astounding!!!..
ohhh, thats gorgeous........the ones i have in my backyard just turn pale blue, which is nice, but yours are very pretty.
