Thanks for the kudos! That is very nice to hear!!

Kell, that is done prior to uploading pictures to DG. I use Microsoft "Digital Image Pro 9" software to "enhance" my pictures. It will allow you to add text in any size, font, color and by rotating the words, you are able to turn them in any direction you wish. I try to stay out of the left hand corner, because that is where our names & dates are automatically entered by DG.

For example with this Datura, I darkened the background and highlighted the flower. Plus, I had to add some violet tint because my camera has washed out the color somewhat. I also "erased" the yellowing leaves in the background and made them "appear" green. Thereby, blending nicely with the tree foliage.

You can play with these types of programs to your "hearts content". I simply try to enhance the picture I have taken without getting too "artsy". Hope this info helped.

OH MY GOODNESS I had no idea you could do all that Shirley! And here I take a 100 pics to get one that I think is just perfect! The most I can do with my program is crop. Changing things color is tedious and it looks just awful! I can't even get take the red eye out so it looks good. I do not think I can shade parts of the pic other colors. I have a pic I took last night that would be great except for a dead rosehip right in the center that I did not notice. So with your program you can just shade it green? LOL.

Kell, that is a lovely picture of your roses. Which variety is it?

With my M.S. Digital Image Pro 9, it allows you to "capture" the item in your picture that you want to change. Then it allows you to select another color on your picture to cover the imperection, like a layering effect. In my program is it called "Smart Erase". Probably different names for the same procedure in Photoshop and similiar programs. No need to take all the "extra" pictures, unless you REALLY wanted to.
