Red African Violets?

Is there a red African violet? I've grown pinks, purples, whites, variegates - but have never seen a red. If such exists, where might I find it?

I have quite a few colors too but have never seen a red one either

Be sure to check out Tomahawk and Vampire's Kiss at the bottom of the page on that last link. They look the closest to what I would call red. But then it's always hard to tell true colors on the computer anyway.

You're quite welcome! And I got a bonus out of finding these... I recently purchased some AV leaves on ebay, and hadn't gotten around to looking up pictures of all the different varieties, since the seller packed in several surprise leaves, too. Anyway, I actually have a leaf for Tomahawk :-D It's starting to root now, and I can't wait for the new little leaves to start poking through. And then, of course, I still have to wait for it to bloom to see how red it is, but hey, it's still fun to watch them grow from the start. I still may have to see about getting that Vampire's Kiss now, too.

I have an AV that is called red, but in my opinion, it is a shade of purple, but I'm a real purist when it comes to red.

I just started with Av's too..I love the Minis ...I have been getting dome nice healthy ones at Wal Mart for $2.oo -$5.00 with a water ship! They are adorable..I have set some leaves to root so I may be up for trades soon..I'll keep ya posted.Mostly pinks & purples...
