I love these. I've heard them called "hostas for the deep south" and I'm so glad there is something with beautiful leaves that will live in zone 10!
This is a "Peacock ginger". Don't the leaves look like a peacock's tail?

with sufficient water, they can handle a fair amount of sun.
I had them under 30% shade cloth and they did fine this entire summer.
