Two years ago I discovered Daves Garden and thought it was a great site, and then came the subscription news. Well I just couldn't do it at the time. I came back to the site tonight and joined. You all seem so happy with it, so I hope I will too. I LOVE to garden and have a huge flower garden and a wonderful pond. It truly is our little bit of heaven. Hope to get to know you all better. Gosh I sound like a southerner in that last sentence. I live outside of Pittsburgh, although I was raised in Omaha. My grandpa was the person who introduced me to gardening. He is gone now, but I brought home 4 of his peony bushes. He lives on.

A hearty Welcome to you, from the NC mountains. Jump right in, we are still as friendly as before only now there are more of us! My grandparents were from McKees Rocks and Slippery Rock.
Welcome Hollyburgh - and a big wave from the hot state of Texas...hope you like the garden as much as we do!!!
Welcome Hollyburgh -- a big wave from this Ohioan! I can't call myself a buckeye, because my heart is still in the place where I was born and raised, Pennsylvania! I grew-up in the Poconos, and learned all about gardening from my Dad. Now from being on DG, I find myself teaching him a few things! LOL. Anyway, welcome to DG!
Dave
