My mom called to tell me about this article, and then Howie e-mailed me the link. Our city, together with the local humane society, is having a "dog swim" at the local pool. It takes place the week after the pool closes for the season, so chemical levels will be low and people won't be allowed in -- just their dogs! Even if our girls don't want to swim, I really want to go and take pictures. What a blast!
If our girls do decide to swim, they'll certainly smell a lot better than they did when they got in the swampy mush out at the arboretum last spring!
