Picture this with blooms....

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can hardly wait for this to bloom. This is one of the brugs and planters that was looking REALLY ratty a couple weeks ago. Every plant in the planter had spider mites. One spray of avid and my problems were solved. This one is Kyle's Pink. Arlene was kind enough to send me this last fall.

That Avid is a miracle worker, I'd say. That is a nice looking specimen. Your plants all look so nice.

Isn't that the truth Shirley. I'm SO glad that I bought it. Only wish I would have done it sooner. I suffered all winter with those darn things. Then early summer I was hit again.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Hope you get blooms real soon.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Beautiful--I need to get some avid and I hate to spend that much money.............I know it works but that is a lot of money for bugs.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Great picture, I like your garden. Please come on with pictures.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

This will be fabulous when the brug blooms!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

That is going to be knock your socks off gorgeous!!!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can hardly wait for the bloom! The brug looks so bare because I stripped all the leaves off of it when I had the spider mite issues! Bward- you have to get some avid, it's worth it's weight in gold. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Looks so great Kristi! Tell me is Avid systemic?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Kell- I'm not sure if it is or not. I know I only had to use it one time, except on one plant. I have only used 1/2 teaspoon of the stuff. Brugie and cala can tell you more about it. They answered any questions I had, LOL.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I believe it is systemic and the effects can last up to 60 days. Don't ask me where I read that, but I did. Guess when I get some time, I should check on this.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

thanks Brugie! does it kill anything else besides spidermites?

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Where do you get this avid?
Thanks,
Brenda

Do a search for Rosemania. They carry it. It does kill whiteflies and aphids, tho not as good on aphids. I'm sure there are other things that it is good for, I just haven't read the label that closely. It is mainly for mites though. Brenda, don't go into shock when you see the price, just remember that it only takes 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water and that it will go a long way.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Here it is with a couple blooms open. Next season I'll use a different brug. This one is beautiful but it really doesn't look as I had planned, can you say color blind?
My first year with this one, I didn't realise how much the blooms hung down.

I love it, Kristi!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Keep notes, just beautiful.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Kristi, I think it looks beautiful! Be glad you have it in a container. My Ecuador pink is hanging inches off the ground... and they're all spattered with mud from the rain!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Very pretty Kristi.
