I live in tucson AZ. I am so tired of the clubs here in town. out of the 4 different clubs, not one as returned a call to me about meeting times and places. Must not want new members I guess. So I am interested and know I could do it. but want to know how to start a new club up. Can someone give me suggestions on how to go about this the right way?

Some info. to think about..........1.) Choose a name for your new club. 2.) Set a goal. 3.) Decide how you want it to be run, i.e. members delegated with "chores", dues, monthly meetings, etc. 3.) Inquire as to who might want to be in your club...maybe start here on DG for people in your own state?? 4.) Keep interest going.........
A, Check out WWW.backyardponderingsociety.com. We are a pond club in the SouthBend Ind area. All of us are pond owners and had taken classed at our local pond store. with their help we have formed a club and are really nto helping each other and anyone else with ponds.
You might start by contacting a local pond supply store and posting notices in the newspaper or at the grocery store....
