Are yours in pots or in the ground?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Way to go!

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Both are in pots. This one is in a 10 or 12" pot on the front porch. It was rooted just below the Y. So, pretty much it's one big Y. But it had to Y again to bud out. *shrug*
The whiskers is in a big pot (like 15 gallon?) with purple petunias round the base. tiG said hers got 10 feet tall before it Y'd but mine is only about 4 foot tall in the pot. Perfect height. :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

My Whiskers is getting pretty tall this year. One I sent to my friend is 7 ft. and just making a Y. Last year my whiskers plant only got a total of about 5 ft. tall. I was very surprised to see mine get this big and not have shide shoots. Your plants look great Angie.

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Way to go Angie, I am so impressed - the petunias were a great idea! Brenda

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

You have done a wonderful job, girl! It looks very nice.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Wow, thanks y'all! I'm blushing. :) The petunias did wonderfully. Must be that miracle grow potting soil. They were supposed to be a double bloom 'Priscilla'. Some are double, but most aren't anymore. My DH says I'm touched with the green thumb. I keep telling him I've killed plenty of plants too.

Great looking plant, looks like it won't be much longer.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

angie, check for caterpillars in the newest growth, small, large, brown and green. they're everywhere right now. and the heat will cause them to lose buds too, we had so much rain and now nothing.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Thanks tiG. I think it's the heat. I've got this one on the front porch, so I've moved it a little to get it out of the sun. It's being watered plenty, just too hot. No evidence of cat holes. Whiskers is coming along though! How long from emergence of flower(yesterday when I got home from work) till full fledged flower?

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Update on the flower on whiskers...it's OPEN!

Here's the crimped buds. They have a little line of brown right in the crimp. Like dead tissue or a scar.

Congrats!!!! You'll really love whiskers. once she starts blooming she doesn't quit.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Found some chew-holes on eric's pink. Grrrrrrr. I sprayed with insecticidal soap. I don't know if that will do it or not. I have some of that chrysanthemum based stuff too. We'll see.

Whiskers is a beauty. I can't wait for the pink (I have ONE bud that is flowering). :)
