Nice. Did you not receive my email?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Got it. I just mailed you back.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Ok, got it. Yes, I start Vitifolia and Inscense in water, most others in straight perlite or vermiculite.

Covington, LA(Zone 8b)

This is in the foetida group, too--a ciliata hybrid from Merida,Mex. It isn't blooming a lot yet--a very thin vine. I think the flower is nice even though it doesn't stay open very long. Is yours like that?

Those blooms are so sweet.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes, this one seems to close up in the heat of the day. I didn't know it would do that until I went back out in the afternoon to take pics and pollinate the flowers.

So cute Poppysue. I like the small flowered passifloras because they get so many blooms.

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

.....the pictures are all beautiful!!!!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

poppysue, I have never tried to pollinate passifloras. Is it difficult. Love your white seedling. Donna

Pretty pretty! I h ave two mystery passifloras, they were just little cuttings when I got them, I'm waiting for blooms so I can find out what they are. One of them has leaves similar to this one.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Donna, you'd pollinate them just like any other flowers. There's 3 stigmas and usually 5 anthers. Not all passis will set fruit. Many of the hybrids are sterile. I really don't have any idea what I'm doing... just playing around with them. If I get fruit it'll be fun to see what comes from them.

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

That is a lovely flower. I got seeds of this in a trade last month and I have already sowed them in ordinary soil. Still no signs of sprouts after two weeks. How long does it take to do that?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

These white ones germinated in a couple of weeks but I planted another type of foetida that took a couple of months to sprout.

Fingers crossed, wait, I will.

Here's a bloom from Cala's foetida seeds. This one has a darker purple center and the leaves are a little different. Seems like the plant will grow bigger too.
