Is this a Y or wishful thinking??? LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Okay, you won't hurt my feelings if you say no, but this sure looks like a Y! Why am I questioning?? It is a three inch tall seedling! Excuse the picture quality. I REALLY need a better camera! Oh, I mean the yellowish seedling on the left. :)

Some seedlings do that.......

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

If it was a cutting I'd say yeah, maybe, but there was more than one person last year that had seedlings do that....

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Okay CC, I lied. My feelings are hurt. Just keep kicking me while I am down! LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Oh Baby...its OK...I didn't mean it!
one of the experts may come any time now and say YES,its a Y!
and that bimbo CC doesent have a brain in her head!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

giggle You know I am just so full of raging hormones and longing to breed everything. LOL Everything is looking fertile to me. :)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Badseed, I hate to add to your disappointment, but look at it this way, you will have two stalks on that seedling instead of one.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

TWICE the Blooms!

See ,its a good thing!

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

Badseed I have 2 seedlings that did that, I thought they had y'd too, but no luck, they had just split into two exactly equal stems, I call them my twinners.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Why is it so yellow Chele? A little MG spritzer may be in order!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

We really don't want to talk about twins right now. LOL
Two stalks, twice the blooms, that means I have to wait for TWO Y's. waaahhh
Kell, of all the seeds I started, one type had these yellow leaves. I hit them with the fish poop soup and some greened up better than others. I haven't fed them anything else because we have gotten so much rain and their soil is water logged. I may mist them with MG if things don't dry up soon.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

I've got some yellowing leaves, too... I'd like to try the MG if y'all can tell me what it is...

I'm way confused now about the difference between a Y and simply two stems....

Orange Park, FL(Zone 8b)

wouldn't that be something if it turns out to be a Y...!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Morph, I can't tell if some of these people like talking in code or if it just shorthand! LOL MG is just Miracle Grow. I have been feeding mine MG with a bit of seafood emulsion and epsom salt. Take it easy on the last two. :)
Yeah Lady, I keep waiting for a bud to pop up so I can yell "There, in your face!! It WAS a Y!". LOL So far no luck. But it would be awesome. Thus far, it is just two identical branches on the same plant. Twins. LOL

Orange Park, FL(Zone 8b)

giggling here...
Well I HOPE it does Y soon for ya!

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

I had a seedling do that, I called it my "siamese twin" brug.

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Thx much, Seed! I feel so dumb now.... Especially, since I had to ask that about a year ago... dope!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

MG is short for morning glory all the time too. We all have brain farts. :)

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I have a seedling that did that also. The central tip died and it shot out two new shoots that look like a Y but no buds. My plant is about 10-12 inches tall right now.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I have a lot like that catsmeow. I still cannot imagine what exactly Y's will look like with branches everywhere but up. LOL I guess I may end up with lots of bushes. :) This seedling actually went straight up then split into two identical, and I mean mirror image shoots. It will be interesting to see if they stay symmetrical. So far they are still identical, spitting out new leaves simultaneously.

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

Badseed, one of mine is doing the same thing, it's one of my favorites because I am amazed at how perfectly equal the two sides are, I keep waching to see if one side will get a leaf that's a little different, but so far they are like a mirror image of each other. How fun!
