O.K.---I over watered and the plant looks really---really bad. I was able to take the seed pod (that already) had turned brown. I saved THOSE seeds and planted them. Can I have THE HOPE that I'll get other plants from these seeds!!!
Thanks,

CDauphinet... sure there is hope... if there is still a portion of the plant left... deadhead it and let it be... they do need sunlight and to be able to drain. Is it planted on a mound?... if not perhaps that will be best in the future... though they do fairly well once they are established no matter. Don't give up!!!

That's a great photo, starshine! I love the colors in the cone, just gorgeous!
Is that the coneflower in early flower before the petals flatten out? Or is it a cultivar?
Did you use a macro lense with tripod?

I've a lot to learn about flowers, but I just got a macro lens for my digital SLR camera a month ago and I sure do love seeing things up close. My eyes aren't what they use to be and the new lens gives a whole up close & personal perspective. I love to make wallpapers from my photos and have my screensaver randomly display my photos.

Thanks for sharing and have great day!

*** Ooooops! Just realized, after the fact, that this thread is from four years ago. Anyway, I love this shot!
