Wonderful deep red on such a clear photo. Are you growing this? Do you ever try cuttings?

Piedmont, MO(Zone 6a)

Yes, I have had these plants growing here in zone 5/6 for over 10 years. Very hardy plants. I've never needed to try cuttings, but that is a possibility. I will let you know if it works!

T, that is a great photo of a beautiful plant. It is such a rich colour. Do you think it would grow & produce lots of blooms as an annual?

Boy would I love to try something like this, keep my fingers crossed that some root.

Sorry I took so long to reply, been on vacation. Broots, I don't think that this would make a very good annual in your zone because it is a very large plant (30 to 60 inches tall and wide, depending on soil moisture and fertility)and would take a long time to reach that size. Also, it does not bloom all summer long and it needs a lot of hot weather. Sorry! You could grow it in a greenhouse if you gave it a large pot and warm conditions.

T thanks for the reply. I was expecting that answer. One of the big downfalls of living in the frozen north.
