Hi - This isn't Dazzling Gold...

Bend, OR(Zone 6a)

no?... then what?

Auburn, NH

Truly not sure what this iris' name is. You may want to surf around on the internet and see what you can find out. There is a nice pic of Dazzling Gold already up here in this entry by J Frizzell. You will see it is bright gold and orange. I will do a search and see what I can find out too for you.

Thank you carolann.. I had done that and thought I found the right one, but perhaps I did not... thinking... there was another that was close... but not quite right.

Looks like yours may be Wild Jasmine. I found it in the photo gallery at www.snowpeakiris.com. You will see that Wild Jasmine has all the speckles, as well as that lovely gold ruffled edge.... what do you think? Sure looks more like yours than does Dazzling Gold which has no speckles and is very bright colors.

THANK YOU carolann... that is EXACTLY the right one.... whoooo hoooo doing a lil happy dance

how do I change the name on the front page?

Auburn, NH

Just go to the Dazzling Gold entry, click on your photo, and then to the right of the screen is a button to report an error - Terry runs that - tell Terry that you now know your iris is Wild Jasmine. Terry will move the photo for you and send you an email to let you know that it is done :-) Glad you are doing a happy dance!! Snowpeak is a great iris resource, by the way - great seller!

Terry *can* make the change, but so can Baa, Poppysue and Arsenic :) (I just wanted to "share the wealth" - or more aptly, the credit for the behnd-the-scenese work in the PDB!)

Sorry about that - when I have to have things changed or moved, it has always been Terry who has emailed me. Sometimes hear from Poppysue too.... thanks

Is this iris blooming NOW? If so, is it a rebloomer?

Bend, OR(Zone 6a)

smiling no it is not blooming right now woodspirit, though the blooms this year were there for over three weeks straight. I just found this wonderful place and I am getting caught up on things that have happened...

Well, it's gorgeous! I am specializing in reblooming irises with my daughter and she hopes to start selling a few this year. I truly think they are the future in iris cultivation and merchandizing (I hope). I have about 15 varities now. Some have not multiplied enough to sell this year.....

that continue to bloom woodspirit???? ohhhh coooool!!!!

Starshine, they bloom in the late spring like normal iris, then they bloom again late summer-early fall. I think one variety called Kah-nee-ta, blooms almost continuously. There are several iris catalogs on-line and they list re-bloomers. Schreiners and Cooley's have the most expensive ones, but Enchanted April, ICG, and IrisTG are cheaper. You may have to do a google search to find them. I have not checked out snowpeakiris.com that carolann mentioned.

You'll also find links to many companies who specialize in Iris here (including links to Enchanged April, Iris City Garden, Iris Test Garden, Schreiner's, Cooley's, and Snowpeak): http://gardenwatchdog.com/advanced.php?category=15&submit=Search

Wow, Terry. Thanks. I will check them all out for re-bloomers. By the way, I have also bought some on eBay. Most are just mixed unnamed varieties, but some are named ones too and even a few re-bloomers.

thank you both!!! I love the idea of them blooming more than once!!!
