What a beauty!

Off the topic but how long do passiflora's live when they
are planted in pots?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

They will live in pots as long as you keep taking care of them. I never take mine out of their pots, just trail them up over a fecnce in summer, bring them inside in fall, and keep them growing through the winter.

What one is that Tim?

Haven't given it a name yet, still deciding on it.

Oh KEWWWL, TIM! Is that one of your incarnata crosses? Did you save a piece for yourself? I wonder if the new owners appreciate all the passion flowers you had planted.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Why would you leave it behind???

Its wonderful!

Karyn,
We ran out of room in the moving truck. Beside I didn't want to test its hardiness out here in Virginia yet.

Sue,
Yes, it's one of those crosses. In fact it is one of those with the chartreuse leaves.

The plant was unprotected last winter in Florida. It suffered minor tips damage, nothing else.
I left all the hybrids at my parents' home, hopefully I can take a few cuttings when I visit them in October.

Tim- I've rooted some cuttings of passifloras but have never tried to cross, would you be able to tell me how this is done and maybe some other tips on passifloras, this year I've had Gulf catepillars attack mine, but there recovering fine, no blooms yet. I'm very interestedin learning how to cross.thanks

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Tim, like all of your passifloras, it's beautiful. I still think of you and the seeds you had sent me when I look at mine as they are growing like mad. No blooms this year though, not yet anyhow :(
