This one cultivar is the one above all others that tempts me to try tropicals. I don't know if it's the intriguing name, the unique coloring, or a combination of both. Very pretty!

Wow!!! What a beautiful picture of a beautiful flower. I love the colors and the textures. Another winner philo.

Yes, this one is a true beauty
I'd love to be able to grow it!

Thanks NoH20 :)

I think that's THE most beautiful water lily I've ever seen!

It's SO unusual isn't it?

The purple tips to the petals set off the rest of the flower so well. If only I could have a tropical pond....

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

Makes me wish I had somewhere to grow some waterlilies. They don't even look real.

Mmmm, the surreal quality of this photo is helped by the leaf of a Victoria lily in the background catching and reflecting the sunlight

I was trying to figure out what that was! I thought it looked like some space-age material!

It does doesn't it? All a trick of the light lol
This photo (that I posted to PDB as well) shows the leaf - and the flower - more naturalistically

Bend, OR(Zone 6a)

mmmmm.. I admire the water logged flowers from a distance. Someday a pond... mmm yesssss.

I'm just off to work on my long term dream of water in the garden starshine. A shame I can never grow this beauty as it wouldn't survive the winter here, but there are LOTS of hardy ones to choose from......
