Perfect picture, perfect flower!

I saw this rudbeckia being trialed in a local nursery last summer and I wanted it immediately. Of course I had to wait until this year to get seed and thanks to all the rain it has been slow to mature but I should get flowers very soon. I can't wait. They are so gorgeous. George, I don't know if I saved my seed packet. Do you know if they are F1 hybrids? If not I want to save the seed.

I purchased the plant rather than seed. It is in a pot on the deck and really a WOW!
As far as F1, I don't think so. Check out http://www.aaswinners.com/recent_aaswinners/2003winners/2003aaswinners_2.html and http://www.plants-magazine.com/newplants/newplant204.shtml , neither of which refer to F1.

Ooooh..how beautifull she is and how beautifull the pic. Thank you george. If you're able to trade some seed, please let me know..

George, that is a great picture. They sure brighten up a garden don't they. I am anxiously waiting for mine to bloom. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
