Frosty Pink

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Frosty and Jamaica yellow were my first brugs-both
are 4 years old and Frosty Pink is loaded to bloom in
Saskatchewan! Thanks for all your tips Liz!

I keep checking mine daily-both it and butterfly are
looking very healthy-can't wait to see a bud!!!!!!!!!!
The brugs from Dennis are doing very well too-I've
had them in the shade for a week now so am going to start
gradually introducing them to the sun!

Hi Pam! I didn't know you were on Dave's, nice to see you here. I hope they all survived the mail, all of the water lilies are great, thanks.

Hi Dennis
I've been "lurking" for awhile just became a paying member
a few days ago. The one you crossed has nice big leaves
now-they all look really good. The only one that hasn't
grown much is culebra but it does look healthy!!!
Could I start fertilizing them now?

Definately, and full strength should be fine too. Let me know how the cross does, hopefully it will bloom this year, probably late in fall if it does.
The culebra will probably take off growing next year, I think it is worth the waiting.

Thanks Dennis! The waterlily that my dad sent he thinks
maybe Georgia Peach-a very nice copper color-let me
know what colors the mystery ones come out.
Sorry Brugmansia and friends-but I did get alot of
nice Brugs from a trade for waterlilies.

Lilypons, Dennis has a really complicated way of rooting culebras. Has he told you? He bends over, rips off a sideshoot and stuffs it in the motherplant pot. Smaller than your fingernail. He swears it works. He did it to one of mine and it hasn't croaked yet.

Makes sense Liz, Moms always take care of their offshoots!

I was wondering how this brug got propagated!
It is so different looking from all the others-
I thought maybe it could only be done by seed.

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

Yeah they seem to root easiest when small, I think culebra has to work really hard to put on growth and taking cuttings is even more stressfull for making roots also. Don't forget Liz, the cutting you originally gave me was rooted in water successfully by you!

I missed saying thank you to TiG as well-I have asked
her a number of questions regarding Y'ing as well.
