Another Eastern Black Swallowtail

Was a very photogenic one thus couldn't resist.
BTW Mollybee no hunting down was required on this one, downside no flower background just my ugly hand, oh well can't have it all :)

And an hour later after the sun came up she blessed me with eggs on my Dill, Parsley and coriander plant.
That will be the last generation for this year up here.

Very nice photos! I didn't realize Swallowtails went that far north. What other ones do you get up there?

Many of the eastern US butterflies are also present up here, thus the list would be long, but for example the Giant Swallowtail and the Spicebush Swallowtail are also present here.
The shorter season here only allows fewer generations per year then in your area. The climate in summer isn't much different from yours. It's just cold up here in the winter and I do not know how those hibernating chrysalises survive that time here.
