Several commas and not a full stop in sight!

Our buddleias were covered in these butterflies yesterday. It is the comma butterfly. Do you get any in the states?

There were also alot of these around. They are meadow Browns and they are much more common.

I have never seen either of those butterflies. Very cool wings on the Comma! Thanks for sharing :)

It's hard to tell the angle-wings apart, but you are probably right calling it a comma. I haven't seen them in my garden, but yes we have Commas and Question Marks.

I don't recognize the second one, and my ID book shows several of the eyespot patterned butterflies only with their wings closed. Maybe somebody else will know if we have it here in the US.
