seed pod success

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I harvested my very first seed pod this morning. I had no idea it was even close to being ripe. Just making rounds through the yard I noticed it had turned brown. I went to check it and it was ripe. The cross is CG x aurea pink hybrid. I have the seeds drying on a paper towel and they will be planted tommorow.
Can't wait to get some of my own things growing and see what becomes of them.

Sewcrazy,
I'm surprised you remember us talking about that. This pod sure has been through a lot.I'm really surprised that it actually made it still intact.
For anyone who doesn't know this pod has been through a lot. The mother plant has been blown over by storms on 3 different occasions. Thirteen out of 14 crosses that I did on this plant did not make it. This lone one did so I said if any of the seedlings are keepers the first one will be named "Lucky". Also for it to be a keeper for me it's going to have to be exceptional. No frosty look alikes or whites. The only white keeper would be one with 13 inch tendrils! (LOL)
