My dog is trying to chew his cast

My Boxer got leg surgury and is trying to chew the cast off two times now the vet and I dont know what to do! Anyone got any ideas. This has to go on for three weeks. ugh.
Hes going back in today. This is a pic of "Mugsy".
We got him fixed up now, cant chew nothing!!!!!!!! hahaha
