So Susie do you not have this one or is yours different? See they are getting darker today.

I will post the pods later when I get home from work. I am so late. It is beautiful in all its stages. From bud to fully open.
And it sucker slike crazy so alley trees are easy to get.

Susie, I can see this up your long driveway...... and if you get it darker it would be unbeatable for beauty!

I will measure one also when I get home, they are HUGE!!!

Thanks Ihuges. Rosamond

You know for a bloom like that Kell, I'd write you an excuse for the rest of the week for work!!--"to whom it may concern---Kell will be unable to come in to work for the duration of the week as circumastance at home make it impossible for her to leave. Please do not hassle her or I will be forced to picket your place of business on her behalf."-------print it out Kell its worth a shot? lol cheryl

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I gotta make a list of what I have cause I'm asking myself "do I have that?" and if I don't I gotta get it......

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kyle, is this the one you got from me? If it is, for me it bloomed pink. I sure would like to get a start back from you sometime. I lost mine over the winter.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I measured mine tonight but the flower was collapsing a little so the width is not as wide as it should be. I notice in the evening it does collapse a little then in the morning it opens more.

It was a couple of inches over 12 inches long.

Can someone tell us the proper way to measure a bloom. Do you start at the tip of the calyx where the pundicle thingy is? How do you measure the width?
