Which EE?

Northern Piedmont, NC(Zone 7b)

An Alocasia, I think and I would love to have a correct id for sharing it later. It is 'suppose' to get huge at maturity. The leaves are a much darker green than the C.esculenta.

JJ have you bought a Xanthosoma in the past?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Xanthosomas are notched all the way down to the stem at the top of the leaves..colocasias are leaved like this one..is probably a colocasia hybrid of some type.Colocasia Gigantea is similar but has different veination

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It looks like a young plant. I was wondering if it could be Nancy's Revenge before the veining shows up.

I have a malanga I bought from the grocery store this spring. I read that it is Xanthosoma sagittaefolium, but it's a lighter green than this one.

This one is notched to the stem and is a young plant started a couple of months ago.

I think you are right about it being an alocasia. I can't really see the notch without really looking close. I'll bet someone will come up with what it is. It does remind me of my malanga, the way it is growing.

It looks like my malanga too.
