I'm adding some more Passiflora to my garden. Here's the ones I'm considering.
Constance Elliot
Blue Haze
Cincinnata
Jeanette
What I would like is information on whether any of these are particularly heat sensitive. I grow Incense, it does beautifully. Also Saint Rule, grows well but has quit blooming in the heat. I live in Phoenix, AZ and we've been having hellish heat. I know some Passifloras prefer more moderate weather. Do you have any ideas about the ones I've listed?
Passifloras
I have Jeanette and Purple Haze, they do great for me.
I have been told that Constance Eliott will not bloom when nights are hot. I have had Con El for years. It sometimes blooms in fall. Living on the Gulf Coast, we have continuous heat and humidity day and night. It does make a large healthy vine, however. Gulf fritillaries love it.
