These are 2 of the Caryota Seelings I purchased in Anaheim
Ca. Caryotas are large fishtail palms which can reach heights of 80' or more. Caryota Gigas has not reached maturity in Southern California yet as none that have been planted from Seedlings have flowered yet.
Once a Caryota flowers it dies but it only flowers at the end of it's life.
The 2 Gigas were actually a dual seedling in which I was successful in separating when I transplanted them.
Here its 90 degrees in my little shade hut.
I have a few more palms I'll post photos of.
