I'm so excited I have these guys on the dill - they're so FUN to mess with (those orange feelers come out and they're so fiesty!!!). Can't wait for the black swallowtail butterflies!

Did you bug them yet so that they stick out their warning "feelers" (odd smell too).

LOL Panamon - the kids and I bugged them so much that we had to leave cuz of the smell - haha!! It's a blast - poor things are gonna have complexes when they become butterflies!!

Thanks for the pics, Tam Tam. We have lots of black swallowtails, and will have to keep an eye out for these 'pillars!

You will have lots of beautiful black swallowtail butterflies in no time! I love to take those guys in the house and raise them in my b'fly hatchery. I had one sneak out of it and chrysalis on my cactus. I had to cut that branch off and hang it in the hatchery with a clothes pin or something. That one was very naughty! It took us almost 2 hours to find it. Can you see it in the picture?

TamTam. what a neat picture. I left several dill plants growing in my bean garden area just hoping for some caterpillars, but haven't seen any yet. We have tigerswallowtails here but not the black ones. Great that you have so many. Donna
