Can someone post pictures of FP and Rosa Traum side by side for a comparison? I had both FP and a Rosa Traum hybrid last year. I cut back the FP and let the Rosa Traum hybrid grow, it was a cutting I received. Now I have a plant blooming and little Alyssa was playing with my plant tags over the winter and took some out of their pots when she was "playing garden princess". The FP in the gallery isn't fully open so its hard for me to tell.
The one blooming is a deep rosy pink with a definite deeper rose line around the rim and then deep rose. If I remember FP was definitely a soft light pink, not like this one. Whatever it its, it certainly is beautiful and has a really strong sweet smell like a rose. At night it perfumes the entire living room, almost sickenly sweet!
Question-need help with identification
I should add that the flowers have been open for a week and the first three days they became progressively deeper pink. Holds up well but our temperatures are only in the 70s. Its been open for a week and has not turned a matt white inside. I know it has to be some kind of suaveolens hybrid of sorts as the peaks are short and curl upwards, anthers are glued, nodding to horizontal flower, 14 inches long and 10 inches across the diameter of the flower, sorry i don't have a pictures.
