Does anyone have any blue clock vine (thunbergia) for buy, trade, SASE, etc. I cannot find it in CA for love or money. I have the orange black-eyed susan, have started seeds for the
salmon ones, and today I found a pure white one with a black center-I think I'm in love. I am hiding UGLY good-neighbor fencing and the year round blooms are perfect. Help!!
Thanks

frog--did you see the COOP leftovers in the COOP forum? There were some thunbergia seeds available there....don't know much about them, but it caught my eye. Brenda

Hi Frogsrus,
I grow 2 of the blue thunbergias. 1 is the thunbergia grandiflora vine http://members.aol.com/kartuzexotics4/thungra.jpg
the other is thunbergia togoensis. A lot of people thought it was mislabelled because they could not find anything on it. But a man finally found info on it from an older book he had on rare plants. so it is real & it is from africa & is correctly named. Here is about the only link I could find on it.

If you want to do a SASE when the weather cools down, I will send you cuttings. I have been fighting spider mites anyway & that will give me time to see if I have won. Don't want to send these little boogers to anyone else.
Just email me & let me know.

PudgyMudpies,
can u get seeds from this plant? if so i would interested in trading for some of both of them if possable plmk moretz
Hi Moretz,
These are first year plants so I don't know if I will or not. Keep an eye on my trade list and I will post them if I get them. From what I understand, they are fall bloomers but I may be wrong. I guess I will find out! LOL
Absolutely. I would love some. I will wait patiently. I have a small mite battle this year too. Nasty little things. DD finds plant baths amusing to watch though. I have the black eyed susan version and it started bloom in about 18 months ago and hasn't stopped yet. I have no frost here though. You have Mail.
Thanks Janice
