Too darned HOT!!!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

When the tendrils are BURNING OFF before the flower opens, it's too darned HOT! The highs have been hovering around 100 for the last couple of days, and the lows at night are in the upper 70's. I sure don't want winter, but cooling off a little would be wonderful.

That is too bad. I hope your weather will change for the better very soon. I don't think the brugs are happy at all here either.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

its gettng pretty sultry here---------the only thing really pouring on blooms are the zinnias----they get hyper in this heat. cheryl

that's a pretty pic. we've had summers like that, where i would pray just to have cloud cover for a while. this summer hasn't been too bad overall.

Ronna, I like your picture!
We have had such strong sun last days-it burned the leafs and flowers. Now a thunderstorm is coming and much rain.

Thanks, everybody. I couldn't believe it when I found two of the tendrils burned completely off! It will probably open tonight, poor funny looking thing. I turned it around so that the sun wouldn't bake the other ones, too. Our weather won't cool off anytime soon, the forecast for the rest of the week (heck, the rest of the summer!) is the same. (our weathermen sometimes joke that if you want a different forecast, check back about October)
