This coral tree dies back to the ground each winter and grows about 8-10' each summer. I keep it trimmed so that it will produce flowers.
Eerythrina crista-galli coral tree
I was trying to decide if I wanted to keep mine when we move. It hasn't bloomed in three years.
Mine wasn't until a tree had to be cut down several years ago that was blocking much of the light it needs. Even though it is under a pecan tree, it gets afternoon light.
Well.....I was given a huge one ina 15 gal pot......looked like a twiggy stick in the winter and now, it is going to put out bloom! Very unusual, this Coral Tree! Elaine
SOOOO pretty...
Susie,save the tree!!!!!
CC, come and get the tree, lol. It can go if it will fit in the truck, if not, a brug takes it's place!
ON my way........
