Anyone interested in Rose of Sharon

Belvidere, IL(Zone 5a)

I have several rooted plants I am not sure what color they will be. They are singles and are white, and lavenders. I am interested in getting things off my want list but am open to interesting plants.

Here is the link to my want list.

Speaking of Rose of Sharon - Need some advice,

I have 2 small sticks, they are approx 3 yrs old now, and only a little over a foot high.
Every year so far all they have done is just get covered with leaves, then fall comes and it become the old stick in the dirt again.
I have one in full sun, the other in part sun.
What is wrong with them?
Why wont they shoot up and branch out?

THanks

Are they in to much shade? Tell us what you are doing with them?

Mine are 3 or 4 years old,(sorry can't remember exactly) and this is the first year they've bloomed... I've got mine in partial shade as well.

Moda127; It may be your soil. You may need to amend your soil and do you fertilize it at all and keep it watered; not soggy, but well watered?
We had one that wasn't too good where it was at, so we transplanted it to different location and worked in some sheep manure into the soil and now it is really taking off.
Both of ours are planted in full sun; as that is all we have here, is nothing but sun.
The following link may be able to help you out as well.

CoCO -THanks for that info. It could be the soil, and probably needs more water & some fertilizer.
