A New Beginning

Rock Hill, SC(Zone 8a)

Several years ago I saw these plants at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mtn., Ga. and knew I had to have some. Since joining DGs I found out what they were. Thanks to violabird for her help and JT for the 3 plants I got, I guess I am now one of you. I've been learning all I can about bugs and diseases and stuff. Here are my first 3 that I potted last week. Dr. Seuss, Isabella and Suaveolens White. I hope that you will be hearing more from me as I get lost in the world of Brugmansias. (How long will it take before I can send a picture of my first flower?)

Congratulations and welcome George. It is always nice seeing someone new here on the Brug Forum. If you want cuttings of others, let me know.

Welcome to the brug forum PoorGeorge. It is hard to tell when you will have bloom, but from the looks of the plants, if the conditions are right, they may Y in about a month and then bloom in another month. That is just a guess and as we all know, brugs are not all that predictable. I've had blooms after bringing a plant out of the cold garage in one month and I had two plants last year that never did bloom. I hope you get bloom as soon as possible.

Hi poorgeorge,
You're in luck. I live not so far away from you. Just a hop skip and a jump over to Myrtle Beach. And I grow lots of brugs and will have cuttings galore come fall.
I've been up to your neck of the woods several times to go to Stacy's Greenhouse. A person could end up poor going to that place. I don't think it's possible to go and not buy something.(LOL) (:D

Yeah George, you made it here!

Of course, I told him WHERE I got all my info and support!
Does this make me a Brug-pusher yet, or do I have to GIVE Brugs? LOL
