Beautiful Dahlia!! Do you dig yours up in the Fall?

Lilburn, GA(Zone 7b)

No, I live in zone 7 so I don't have to dig them up. I leave them in ground all year. Just add a little fertilizer. People don't believe me when I tell them it is really extremely low maintenance for me. However, this spring I think I will try dividing the tubers amongst the ones who have too many stalks. I am nervous about it tho!

Don't be nervous. It is not difficult and you will be amazed at how many tubers you will get. Look for eyes up on the stalks. You will need to have an eye and usually after digging them is the easiest time to see the eye or wait for spring when the whole clumps starts to want to grow.

I looked up lots of info with step by step pics and even printed them out so I can do it with as few mistakes as possible. But I just hate disturbing them. They seem so happy; but I know it must be done.

I've recently started to learn about dahlias. This picture looks somewhat different from the others that are shown for this variety. Are you sure it's "Haley Jane"? I've not grown it before. I'm just going by the pictures I've seen. It sure is a pretty flower no matter what it's called.
