Big Brug

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

Here is a photo of the big brug that is blooming. Just that same old mangy peach color. :>) Those are all outside my bedroom window, and at night it smells sooooo good in there! Yse, my sidewalk is full of brug pots too, not just the slab that you can see here! I have brugs everywhere. Is this called an "addiction"??

Wow! What a sight to wake up to every morning and your Brug look so tall as if you could stand beneath it looking straight up into the flowers :)

Well, I first saw these at Callaway Gardens, in Pine Mtn., Ga., several years ago and since joining DGs, violabird got me started. I just got my first three from JT, got them potted, and learning all I can about them, bugs and diseases and stuff. Guess I'm going to be another one of you, LOL. Here is my first patch, any tips?

It's beautiful Anna. What size pot do you have it in?

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

delecie, I have my 2 biggest ones in 24 inch pots. Also a couple of them in 20 and 15. Have to enlist the Spouse and his tractor with the end loader to get those moved. That one is my biggest one. Even Spouse is impressed with the size. :>)

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Hi Anna_Z
Just wanted to let you know that "Snowbanks" is doing well. It is growing slower than the others, but what a beauty, thank you.

Hi Poorgeorge
I'm in Columbia, good to see another SC member. I had seen these unbelievable plants (my first was at Biltmore House) but never thought I could grow one. This great group has been so helpful with information and seeds. I have quite a few cuttings and seedlings now, but guess it will be a while before a bloom. One can only wish. I can't wait to get home this afternoon so I can move some up a pot size and feed and water all my babies.
