bronson, IA(Zone 4a)

That is such a pretty one, a very nice pink color. Congrats on your first one. Looks like a very healthy plant.
I dead head mine if I haven't pollinated it Cottosnag. Even if I do I sometimes pull off the brown bloom part to make the plant look better.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

So happy for you! I just leave mine to fall off by themselves.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I am guilty of tugging on the dead blooms too, even if I've pollinated them. I can't stand they way they look when they start to fade.

bronson, IA(Zone 4a)

Thanks for the replies--I havent got as far as to try to pollinate them yet--I have 12 other brugs I am growing and waiting for them to bloom--I will have to learn how to pollinate them--this is all new to me--thanks to Brugie--she got me hooked!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Brugie does her best to get alot of people hooked! LOL.

Pollinating is fun and easy. The easiet way is to just break off an anther from one brug and rub it onto the stigma of another.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Congrats CS, how old is your plant? Mine was purchased late March but just getting buds now! Am wondering if they're in too much shade, or just too much rain?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey Vi, who is following who now? LOL

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Didn't you notice? Our great minds were following our great taste at the same time, lol!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am spending another hot Saturday night! LOL

Ain't it the truth!

Isn't your mom getting hooked on DG yet, kell?

Gosh, sorry to hijack this cotto! Guess some of us just need a life, LOL!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

No and in fact I am starting to get lectured about my computer usage! Today she told me there is more to life than the computer and I said really, what?

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

CS, I just love the pink ones :D By yours I definitly like the way the peachy yellow mingles with the softer pink at the ends of the flowers :) Do you like the smell?

Kell, I get lectured about my computer usage a couple of days in the week *lol* Many of us live so far apart, so I am very thankfull that the PC and internet was invented :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I don't believe I gave that plant to Cheryl. She picked up some at the Roundup, but I didn't have anything large enough for blooming that I can remember. I can take the blame for getting her hooked. I wouldn't let her get by without trying some more. The fun of growing brugs is to work with others and give plants/cuttings. Cheryl, you didn't get that one from me, did you? I also like the way it grows Monika. Cheryl is doing a great job for a beginner. If you can't get to DM for a pollinating lesson, write me a note and I can help you out.

Cottosnag, I just remembered this site which was done by our own Cala. She explains it all so well! It may help get you ready for your hands on lesson from Kyle. You lucky duck!

Cottosnag: Hey way to go. It is surely a beauty and pink to boot. I love pink. You beat me with first blooms. Although, I think mine are starting to form wee little buds. Shirley does have a way of passing on her addiction. We love ya, Shirley.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Cotto, congratulations on a very pretty pink brug. I don't have any in bloom right now. I bought Pink Beauty this spring but no buds on it yet. It is in a 12 inch pot, maybe i need to repot it larger. I'm pretty new at this too. Donna

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Debby, I just love brugs, people, and sharing. Hope all have great luck with your new brugs and new addiction. Debby and Snag, next year you will probably have at least twice as many as this year.
