Well Starzz, I felt awful after sending in about 34 images on the same day and then finding out there is a daily limit of 5. But your comments have made me feel like it was a good thing, anyway. Thanks.

I am happy you liked my comments..so how did you find out about the five limit..it seems you weren't cut off at five. I love all your photos..

Carolann, a member, emailed me about the limit. I never did find that info on the website either. Looks like a lot of folks don't know about it.

Toxicodendron, we try to get an email when we see a flurry of new submissions, but apparently we didn't get one to you that day. Please don't feel at all bad about it - we know that most people wouldn't have any reason to be aware of the limit, and since it's on the "honor system" we frequently find ourselves notifying members after the fact.

We're keenly aware that having a lot of images is a wonderful "problem" to have! We just like to make sure we can give each image and/or entry some TLC before the system digests the day's activities for the newsletter; with only a few editors to oversee thousands of users, we get spread a bit thin.)

Beautiful colors!!! :)

Toxi, are you sure this is Consolida ajacis? It looks a lot more like Delphinium elatum: http://plantsdatabase.com/showimage/1665/ And look at some of the other pics there, too. I think you'll see many that are shaped a lot like yours.

Consolida ajacis has a characterisitic "Bunny head" shape in the center of each individual bloom. I don't see that on yours.

Also, is yours a perennial? D. elatum is while C. ajacis isn't, though it does reseed so prolifically many have thought it was.

Hi Wingnut,
Rest assured I know a little about plants; I have a B.S. in Horticulture. The seed packet said Larkspur 'Imperial Giants Mix'. I agree that many times they greatly resemble the perennial delphiniums, which I have also grown. The annual larkspur does better here with our hot summers and wet winters than the delphiniums.
Thanks for your comments and attention to details.
