Need help with OE..Please

I have been putting up with this since the last time I had to reformat the hard drive(son did)OE deletes all attachments from email(will not allow me to see them) including when Flowox sends the updated list. It says OE has removed the attachment because it could contain a virus. Is there someway to set this up differently? TIA
