Something is stripping the leaves from my plants. I can't find any worms but sure that's what it is.
It has really stripped my peaches & cream brug & it was doing good. Several of my brugs look nakid.
What's gonna happen to them now? Those worms can sure do a lot of damage. I hate to spray as I have
butterflies & hummers along with dragonflies. I just don't want them eating my garden.. go eat the weeds *LOL*
Sugar
Grrrrrrrrr
Use Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis), it doesn't hurt anything else. environmentally safe. I only had to spray once or twice and my brug that was getting eaten alive immediately started putting out new growth.
Also check for snails and slugs. I had one being eaten every night and I could not see any tracks or even figure out where they were coming from. I put bait around and was shocked that they were coming from many feet away every night for their dinner.
I have those cursed earwigs dining on my brugs. Any suggestions on what I can use to waste them forever??? My brug leaves look like lace. I've found the earwigs under the new leaves at the top of the plant. I want to blow them to the moon (without damaging the brugs, of course). I just hate those )(#%*_)#(% earwigs.
These plants are being stripped down to nothing but the heavy veins. The very top ones are there..at least they were this afternoon :( I'm not sure what a earwig looks like. When I'm examining the plants I get any bugs in site. It looks like what a tomato worm does. The next time I am at Lowes or WalMart I'll look for some BT. Mean time I'll keep looking for the culpret.
Sugar_fl, sometimes those tomato worms are so close to the color of the brug leaf that you miss them. They can eat a lot. Sounds like that's what you've got.
