variegted brugmansia

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I have a variegated brug that I bought about a month ago from a nursery which is an hours drive from me. It has recently Y'd and has buds on it. The buds are about 2 1/2 inches long and I noticed today that they are also variegated. Is this typical of all variegated brugs? This particular plant is also supposed to have yellow flowers according the the people at the nursery. No one could specify a name but they all seemed to be sure that yellow was the flowers color. Guess i'll know for sure when it blooms.I still don't know a lot about brugmansia plants but I have done a lot of talking with people who do over the past few months and I haven't heard of or seen a picture of a variegated one with yellow flowers. Does anyone know of any? I intended on taking a picture and posting of it, but the batteries have died in the camera. I'll try and post one tommorow once i've gotten some new fuel for the cam.

My Maya which used to be a Peaches and Cream has variegated buds. They are so cool. The flowers are more tangerine than yellow. If I were home I would post a pic but I can't access them from here. Sadly.

You did! It is now gettinng the first set of leaves and they are variegated! 10 days in the mail did a real job on it, top was green mush, rotten, had to cut bad part off, so now I am finally seeing signs of life.

Thank you much!(hugs)

It should make it ok, just have to be patient. So nice to finally see what it was, can't thank you enough. I have had P & Cream for years, never any of the other variegated.
Have buds on about 7 brugs, some I have not seen before! I really am a patient person! Most of the time!

I would say Gloria! I would be crazy by now. All your hard work and good care for such little return. I am so impressed with your perseverance! I sure hope you get some beauties!

Catsmeow . . I know that someone has mentioned before about variegation being on the buds also. I just can't remember who or which brug it was. Sorry I am not more helpful. It sounds like it is going to be so pretty. Please post a picture when it blooms.

Maya and Grazie have green/white striped buds. The seed pods of Grazie are also striped.

Didn't someone say that Maya seedpods are varigated too? Snowbanks buds are varigated too.

Tracey, when I get home I should know for I had pollinated some just before I left home. Do any variegated come in pink?
