Brug eye

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

*lol* My one eye can focus on about 2 foots distance. Everything else is a blurr *lol* I was picking all the leaves of the seedlings that the storms had broken or ripped apart, when a leaf stalk snapped and threw juice in the eye. Fortunately I could till the entire Brug garden with one eye only *lol* Lene said the eye reminded her of a David Bowie LP record. Well, my eyes are both brown and bowies had a brown and a blue iris on that record, but I didn`t say ... I did not need for her to give me a blue eye, after the day I have been through, ha, ha, ha! :D :) :D

I think a couple of others from Daves have gone through this. Doesn't sound like much fun. I'm afraid I'd be sitting in a chair until mine got better. I have trouble seeing with glasses, so to go without one eye would be really hard. Hope you get your sight fully back soon.

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

You will see much better in about 24 hours, lol. Wear sunglasses so the light doesn't hurt so much.

Yes I will. I forgot that when I was tilling *lol* It was funny when I wentr from the living room to the kitchen to cook *lol* We didn`t have the lights on in the living room, but the neon lights was on in the kitchen and when I came out I felt it as when you press your eyeball lightly with your thumb *lol* A pressure and a glimpse and a bit of colors, but I can get used to that as long as it is not on daily basis :D

Be careful, Tonny! Don't run into anything before your vision clears (I'd be sitting in a chair, too!) It's so easy to take our health for granted, and accidents happen so quickly. I was stung by a paper wasp last night. It got me on my right hand (fortunately I'm left handed), but my hand was swollen and throbbing all night. It's still swollen now, but not nearly as much, and I can move my hand again. I couldn't even push the mouse buttons last night!

Ronna, be careful with stings. I got stung a couple of years ago by yellow jackets and couldn't breathe. I'd been stung lots of times before and it never bothered me.

Susie, this was my first sting. I called my DH right away, as soon as I'd washed my hands and put on Caladryl (sounds like something that you came up with, doesn't it?). I took an antihistimine, too, and put ice on it. I wanted my husband to know so that he could check on me, just in case I had a reaction.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yes, a good idea to have someone check up on you just in case. Wonder if that Caladryl company knows they're using my name??? I should get royalties!

Well Tonny, I am glad you can laugh about it. Gosh! It sure does not sound like fun. After I had eye surgery I had to keep putting drops in mine to dialate it and I didn't much care for it. LOL When I saw the title, I thought you were gonna say you had *an eye for brugs* not literally brug in your eye. :) You seem to be taking it very well. Hope you are doing better now.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Tonny, sorry about the brug problem with your eye. Do take good care, you need the sight of both eyes. Donna

Well, sight came back today. It was not a bad Brugeye though. Years ago when I had The Datura Collection International I harvested sometimes several kilos of Datura seedpods per day through fall. Worst thing was peeling them. The rubber gloves got stuck and torn apart on the spines, so I gave up using any. Breaking the seeds out of so many pods really gave me Brug eyes and sometimes also dry throat :)

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

Tonny, it took almost 2 1/2 days for my eye to get back to "normal". So, you're lucky if yours got better in only 24 hours.

In Denmark the air is very good. All things will get better.
I think about to move to Denmark:-)
