This is the one that I just love the leaves and the shape of the buds.

On another topic,my DH called me tonight to tell me I have HUGE pods on my GL.................. LOL LOL LOL He said they look like huge peppers hanging down. It was esp. thrilling to hear for the way he first framed the observation I was sure he was about to tell me he killed it. LOL Most of them on there are GL X L'amour!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sounds like I know someone who is going to possibly get a pinkish double for next year......Yippeeeeee!!!

Tonny:

What a gorgeous plant! I love the shape and rich green color of the leaves. What fertilizer do you use and how often do you fertilize?

city?? lol sticks, AR(Zone 7a)

Tonny how many days till it opens do you think? are you counting how many times you have to go to sleep to see flowers? --I think if it was about to bloom in my garden---I would NOT able to sleep!!! cheryl

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Tonny, I am anxiously awaiting the bloom. It is a beautiful plant and I am glad it came back for you.

Kell, that is such good news about your seed pods and it sounds like DH is taking great care of your plants.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Very pretty plant. What color will the blooms be?

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Cheryl, now I hope we only have to sleep one more night to see the flower *lol* The flower is completely out now, but has not started to open :( It will be yellow and have nice, curled tendrils.

I would have posted a photo tonight, but I got electrified by the darn camera. My fingers must have been a bit sweaty. *lol*lol* I was so surprised that I dropped the camera ... no, almost threw it up in the air, so it droppen of the floor *lol* No, it still works :)

I haven`t fertilized much, until about a week ago. That can be seen of many of the Brugs, but the aureas, Hertzenbrücke and this one stay rich dark green anyway *lol* I guess that those are not heavy feeders of nitrogen. I use something called nitrophoska.

I think it is N-P-K 12-4-16 plus micro that I use.
Now that I fertilize regularly again I ad 20 gram in 10 liters of water every second day, but the mix is not optimal, because it raises the PH too much, so I sometimes I ad ammonium-sulphate to lower the PH again to avoid iron defiency.

Right now I am trying to make my own fertilizer mix.
N-P-K 0-4-19/micro mixed with equal dosis 46 % urea ... how does that sound for a mix that is supposed to keep PH level around 6.5 (I use spaghnum (natural PH 4-5) and tapwater (PH 7.5-8)? *lol* Well, I am not exactly an eagel to mix fertilizers, so can I call in the expert panel? *lol*lol*

I got a Brug eye also from turning the seedlings into nice looking palms :)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Can't wait to see a pic Tonny,just don't get shocked getting one,LOL!

Open. Now the color has to mature a bit. That comes in 1-2 days and the tendrils will start to curl a bit more. Hope therre will be more fragrance *lol* Gosh, its rainy here :)

The tendrils are nice and long and the skirt is very narrow! Good color. Don't you think the fragrance may increase in a day or 2?

Heaven ; ), Denmark(Zone 7b)

Yes, Kell. I remember the smell like a kind of sweet, soapy smell :) Fortunately I could dab a bit of pollen on to - if not to improve smell, than maybe to - improve color in this one :)
