Didn't someone just have this in their co-op? I am thinking Susie, but it could have been Kat. They are all running together. LOL

eyes,

I never had heard of it, until you brought it up. Now I feel I must have one!

I see Joycreek had 'em, but are now sold out. The only other place I find 'em in the US is Plant Delights Nursery, home of the outrageous shipping charge.
*sigh*

The PDB lists it as Dicentra scandens ('Athens Yellow' ?)

I found several old threads that mention it. Seems like everyone that has it is out of the country.

ah well, maybe next year.

I purchased two Dicentra scandens 'Athens Yellow' plants this spring from Plant Delights Nursery, Inc. They are growing well in a location where they get direct sun only in the morning. They are slowly creeping up and over the 4' high chain link fence which encloses an ugly air conditioner next to our main entrance. They started blooming very early in their growth. Hopefully next year they will have a more mature root system and will cover the fence. I'm not sure how they propogate or when they are mature enough to divide. I hope you find some yourself. I know they die down to ground level in the winter and rejuvinate in the spring.

Unless they are sold out, seeds are available here for $3.50 with no postage. I didn't check to see if there was a minimum order.

Brugie: There is no minimum order with this company. I ordered from them this spring and received the order in less than two weeks. I just ordered 3 pks. of seeds. Very friendly company.

Thanks for the link. That looks like a great source for unique seeds.

You're Welcome. I may have to go get some myself if they are still there. :-)

wanted to know if they have an email addy so i can order a book from them plmk and thanks moretz

I got mine about 2 months ago from Lazy SS's farm online. Good price at $9.99 for a quart. Down side is you have to do a min order of 6 plants I think and shipping was $2.60 per plant. Depends on where u live.

Mine is growing great and bloomed once already which lasted for weeks. It's budding again. Lazy SS's says they propagate by cuttings.

Good luck!
