The outer red seed is edible.Spread by the exploding of seed pods and birds which love these especially the (cat bird) (mocking bird) (ruisenor A caribbean habitant bird)
The leaves can be used as astringent to hives in the skin (boiled as tea)
It is also used for head lice by boiling the leaves to form a strong tea. Rinse the scalp and leave on, cover with a towel until you see the falling dead head lice.

The scientific name is Momordica charantia.

How the heck do you get rid of it before it takes over everything? Any chemical I can use?
